Tim Head

'Toxic Lagoon' , 1987
Cibachrome print
Dye destruction print. Photograph using recycled household products. (ESG before its time)

Limited edition of 3 + AP

Note: An example of this photograph is in the permanent collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum: "Whether Head is working with photography, installation or painting, his art is underpinned by concerns about human relationships with the world. During the 1980s he began to explore the tension between the organic and artificial in consumer culture. His apocalyptic 'toxic' landscapes serve as metaphors for our polluted environment. Deliberately exploiting the saturated colours of advertising, these images both appeal and repel."
Tim Head was one of the artists representing GB at the Venice Biennale in 1980.
Framed: 126 x 156 cm
£ 18,000.00
